Axiom Venture Partners Announces William Wilcoxson as Partner

Hartford, CT --- Axiom Venture Partners, a venture capital firm focused on helping to build world-class information technology and biotechnology companies, today announced that Will Wilcoxson has joined the firm as Partner.

Mr. Wilcoxson brings to the Axiom team more than thirteen years of experience in venture capital and private equity investments. Most recently, he served as General Partner of Claflin Capital Management in Boston, where he specialized in early stage information technology companies. Prior to that, Mr. Wilcoxson was an early member of Internet Capital Group’s investment team. His venture capital career began at Massachusetts Technology Development Corporation. Mr. Wilcoxson spent three years with General Electric Capital’s Corporate Finance Group, where he focused on late stage private equity investments in manufacturing, distribution, and communications companies. He began his career in General Electric’s Financial Management Program. Over the course of his career, he was an early investor in companies such as Andover.net, Breakaway Solutions, Metatomix, Micro-E, NexCen Technologies, and Vibrint Technologies.

Mr. Wilcoxson holds an undergraduate degree in Economics from St. Lawrence University, and a Masters in Management from Northwestern University Kellogg School of Management.
